Society holds the best news today...
Ecology:
-Swift emissions laws promised, not too hard on industry. The 27 leaders stressed the need to ensure that the high cost of reducing emission should not drive energy-intensive industries like steel, cement, paper and aluminium out of Europe or out of business.
-G20 energy chiefs push for more egalitarian climate pact. Energy and environment ministers from 20 top emitters of carbon dioxide kicked off a discussion Saturday to explore the creation of an international framework for fighting global warming to succeed the Kyoto Protocol.
Technology:
-First Flight of Manned Hydrogen-Powered Airplane in History. The bad news, however, is that this technology may never reach large passenger airplanes. At least, not as a main source of power. But we don't want the bad news... this is all about the good news, and this means a step forward.
-Space Truck Executes "Text-Book" Automated Docking at International Space Station. And here I am in my research field trying to get it to do something similar with a robot. :)
-Nanomaterial turns radiation directly into electricity. A solution to nuclear waste??? that will generate more electricity???
Society:
-Dutch relief over Muslim reaction to anti-Islam film. I'm also relieved... I did not wish to see anymore "cartoon-type-fury" again.
-Pig farms serve tourists in Muslim Morocco. Some Islamic countries are updating their thoughts. I wished other would follow their example, maybe we (western countries) as well.
-Arabs agree on peace with Israel first. Good... don't stop now... keep going...
-Raúl Castro autoriza a los cubanos a que tengan teléfonos móviles. After the Microwaves and computers, now the Cubans may own a cell phone. Things are getting better. :)
Portugal:
-Divórcio abre nova guerra entre maioria PS e Igreja. Bem...
Humor:
And because life is not always gray.... I wanted to share one of the best comedy songs ever, Flight of the Conchords - Business Time.

I love the Flight of the Conchords song. I actually bought the album of songs from the series and it is classic.
It is good to see that Musical Comedy is a healthy genre at the moment, especially with the emergence of www.musicalcomedy.co.uk showcasing some great talent. My favorite is http://www.musicalcomedy.co.uk/video/338/Whoopsie but that is probably because I am from Newcastle so can relate to it. Usually, this artist is know for his sad songs.
